Celebrating 11 years of Melanie Rose Photography Christmas Mini Sessions!
It's the most wonderful time of the year and every December, our photography studio in Albany Creek, transforms into something a little magical. Since 2015, families across Brisbane's Northside have made our Christmas Mini Sessions part of their yearly tradition, and we love seeing so many familiar faces walk through the door each year.
This year is no exception. With a brand new set, beautifully curated props, and (of course) milk and cookies, we can't wait to capture your family's Christmas magic all over again.

Introducing the 2026 Christmas Mini Photos Set.
For 2026, we're introducing a Gift Wrapping Station, to our Northside Portrait Studio, styled in rich Christmas red as the hero colour, with soft touches of green throughout.
Instead of asking children to sit perfectly still, we've designed an interactive Christmas gift wrapping station where they can explore and play and be themselves while we capture their genuine expressions.
Our brand new 2026 set is currently being built behind the scenes.

The Set • The Git Wrapping Station
A little corner of Christmas magic in our Brisbane studio, with classic Christmas colours. Stacks of wrapped presents and twine, with wooden accents.
It's a space designed for little hands.
Simple and traditionally Christmas, this year's set is all about the magic of wrapping up something special for the ones you love.
Interactive Set
With a few fun little activities and a drink of milk and a cookie to finish it off, this experience is designed for kids to enjoy.
It's the same set we use for our Santa Experience sessions, which take place in the Albany Creek Studio in October.

The Packages.
The Gift Package - $175
• A 15 minute relaxed Christmas Mini Session in our cozy Albany Creek Studio.
• A gallery full of Christmas themed photos taken in the Gift Wrapping Station Set including kids by themselves and family photographs (if you would like)
• Finish the session, with the now infamous drink of Milk and a Cookie.
• Choose your favourite 5 photographs as high resolution digital files from your password secured online gallery. Gallery expected to be ready a few days after your session.
• Option to add additional photographs from $30 or upgrade to all images package once viewing your photographs for $165.
All the Trimmings - $295
• A 15 minute relaxed Christmas Mini Session in our cozy Albany Creek Studio.
• A gallery of Christmas themed photos taken in the Gift Wrapping Station Set including kids by themselves and family photographs (if you would like)
• Finish the session, with the now infamous drink of Milk and a Cookie.
• All usable photographs delivered as high-resolution digital files from your password secured online gallery (15 - 20 images). Gallery expected to be ready a few days after your session.
Families Come back. Every Year.
Some of our families have booked a Christmas Mini Session with Melanie Rose Photography, every year since we started. Our first year was in our Newmarket photo studio back in 2015, it continued when we moved to our Samford Road photo studio at Gaythorne, squeezing in a year of a pop up studio at Arana Hills. It's become a family tradition.

Can I include family photos in my session?
Yes, absolutely. Mum and Dad are welcome to jump in for beautiful Christmas family portraits.
How many sets are there?
There is one set included, and it is the same set that we also use for the Santa Experience.
What should we wear?

We love all members of your family and believe they should be included in your Christmas Family photos.
